An Intimate Moment

A small, intimate piece drawn for myself and my partner of our OCs. Pictured are Ella and Erica, having a nice little time.

I think often environments and backgrounds can add a lot to a piece to make it seem more real, more physical, more intimate, but it's easy to forego that in favour of making something quickly. The perverse incentives that we as artists have to remain relevant in a sea of competing 'content' often lead to an emphasis on speed and efficency over mood, tone and artistic meaning.
